VIRIDITAS LEGACY WILDERNESS PROJECT
OF VOUGLIAMENI
vi - rid - i - tas
Latin for "greenness"
A term created by St. Hildegard von Bingen during the 12th century. Viriditas links God, humanity and the natural world. This greenness was considered an expression of Heaven and evidence of God's creations. St. Hildegard often spent time in the forest of her monastery studying and caring for the wilderness, praying and singing to God while being surrounded by his creations.

Viriditas Legacy Wilderness Project of Vougliameni
Created to protect the last undeveloped forest located on the southern seaside of the Saronic Gulf. The forest is full of wildlife and the sea serves as a sanctuary/ nursery to several fish and flora species as well as ancient ruins and a 100 + year old working orphanage . I started this project in 2017 and since then have been studying and researching the entire area. Recently this land has come under threat and so I had to give my project a name to reach out to as many people as possible.
The MOTO: Serve Pray and Sing to Protect Nature Land and Sea
Serve - by planting native trees and foliage to sustain and reinforce the cliffs and wildlife, clean up the trash left behind in the forest and on the beach
Pray - to God in Jesus' name for blessings, protection and conservation of all God's creations on land and sea leaving a legacy for the orphanage and future generations. Prayer ONLY to God, not creation. When we Pray we activate Heaven's forces!
Sing - to sing songs of Praise and Worship to the Father, Son and Holy Spirit that resound through out the forest and sea. When we sing, heaven invades the earth! Like the Bible says "Let everything that has breath Praise the Lord!"

Special Project: The Orphans Legacy
A tree planting project for the orphans from the orphanage to plant a tree that they will care for years to come, along with a special tag that includes their name, age and date.
